Obsidian Rabbit Hole
I've used Notion for years now. It's a great tool with lots of options. I like the looks, the ease of use, and the power. I've used it over the years to store all sorts of stuff.
But, on more than one occasion, their lack of offline storage has showed its ugly face. Attempting to access something and either their site is down or my internet connection is down can be very frustrating.
I did a little review of things I wanted in a "second brain" system. Turns out many of the Notion features were "nice-to-haves". My only real "must haves" were offline storage and non-proprietary format (so that it doesn't matter what tool I use, I can still read my notes). Obsidian hit both those and seems to make every "top tools for second brain" list (along with Notion).
So now I'm going down the rabbit hole of trying out Obsidian, moving important stuff in there, etc. Anybody reading this use it regularly? Share your favorite #obsidian plugins or tips!
