Poor Things

I finished reading "Poor Things" by Alasdaire Gray yesterday. My wife had finished it a couple weeks prior. I quite enjoyed the book. It was an interesting story, great character-building, and Bella's narrative was fascinating ... plus, plot twists!

We decided to finally watch the film that came out last year. It was ... different. They certainly took a lot of liberties with the story and missed out on at least one plot twist. Plus, the visual style was more distracting to me than anything. I mean, it was still a decent movie. But based on having just read the book and how good the book was, the movie fell short.
